Insight Catastrophe Group is dedicated to assisting its clients in achieving superior risk-adjusted returns.
Formed after the 2004/2005 catastrophe seasons, Insight had two primary objectives:
- Develop superior analytical tools to revolutionize the standard by which catastrophe insurance risk is managed;
- Provide additional underwriting capacity to take on the growing demand for catastrophe-exposed risk.
In August 2005, the Group launched
Insight Catastrophe Solutions,
LLC (ICS) to provide property risk management consulting and
proprietary risk management software. Its advanced financial
analytics, catastrophe modeling tools and revolutionary policy
management system provide clients with a comprehensive solution that
includes real-time policy evaluation, financial metrics and capital
management capabilities.
In January 2006, the Group formed
Coastal Risk Underwriters, LLC (CRU) to provide underwriting management and administrative services.
Leveraging ICS' risk management capabilities and software platform, CRU
provides program administration for residential and commercial
catastrophe-exposed property.
In July 2007, ICS filed patent applications for its proprietary
software applications: cxLogic, cxRisk and pxQuote.
In August 2007, ICS announced a new service that leverages Risk
Management Solution' (RMS) catastrophe model output. The new service,
cxRisk Online, provides detailed underwriting and risk assessment
information to help clients determine the need for specific catastrophe
perils, evaluate underwriting submissions and apply analysis results
into pricing systems.
In May 2009, the Group formed
Insight Specialty Programs, LLC (ISP) to provide identity theft programs to personal and commercial lines insurance carriers.
Today, Insight Catastrophe Group is an insurance portfolio manager and risk advisor to new and existing sources of capital. Serving the insurance and financial services industries, its clients include insurance and reinsurance carriers, hedge funds, investment banks, agents, brokers, managing general agents and other risk consultants.
The companies' offices are located in New York, Tampa and Tallahassee.
